I received some fantastic entries last year - from Luke Atmey's theme on guitar to vocal renditions of Guitar's Loving Serenade to Godot's theme on the ocarina. So I'm really looking forward to receiving this year's entries - whatever you play, just give it a shot and enter!
Take a piece of music from any of the Ace Attorney games and record your performance of it. There are two categories: solo and group (i.e. more than one performer) performance. It can be learned by ear, played from sheet music or improvised - as long as I can identify the base tune, you can enter it! medleys of pieces will also be accepted.
Computerised accompaniment is permitted but the main performer must be playing an instrument. I won't accept an entirely computer generated piece - this is about what you can do, not what your computer can do!
Email your entry as an attachment to , or upload to the likes of MegaUpload and PM me the link (legit upload sites please, no sharebee or anything like that). If you're working on something epic and need a little more time, get in touch by email and let me know.
It is recommended that you submit it in OGG, but feel free to use any other file format for your recording (such as WAV, MP3, or whatever your recorder records it in).
Myself and another judge will go through the entries to create a shortlist. Shortlisted entries will then be put up for vote to the general public! The three entries with the highest votes in each category will then be placed accordingly.
First, second and third place winners in each category will have their performances permanently hosted on Gyakusheets. Other shortlisted entries that weren't placed will be uploaded externally and linked to from Gyakusheets.
First place winners will receive the following prizes:-
